I advise boards, executives, and institutions when the stakes are high, where governance, ethics, reputation, and human judgment collide. My work sits at the intersection of law, leadership, and decision-making in contested environments.

Alongside over 30 years' experience in complex disputes and international mediation, I serve as a Non-Executive Director, bringing clarity, challenge, and calm to the boardroom, particularly when organisations are navigating risk, conflict, or scrutiny.

I am regularly invited to contribute to leadership and governance conversations internationally, including at forums such as Davos, where the focus is not theory but how decisions land in the real world.

My approach is practical and preventative - helping leaders resolve issues early, reduce escalation, and protect trust.

Public service & policy

I previously served with the UK Cabinet Office on the SME Advisory Panel, where I worked on addressing the late payment culture affecting small and medium-sized businesses and contributed to policy and legislative change. That experience continues to inform how I think about accountability, fairness, and governance beyond the private sector.

Writing, speaking & ideas

My commercial and creative worlds meet through writing, speaking, and podcasting. I am a business columnist for a UK newspaper and contribute to international publications, exploring leadership, governance, ESG, and decision-making under pressure. I am the author of Making a Splash, with a new edition planned to mark its 10-year anniversary, and my next book - No One Will Know - is due in 2026.
